A Story of Love, Loss, and Legacy

Gerard Elliott and Trixie

Gerard Elliott - Founder

With over 20 years of experience in broadcasting, Gerard Elliott has dedicated his career to giving voices to those who need to be heard. But it was his beloved dog Trixie who inspired the creation of Pets Rescue Radio.

Gerard and Trixie shared an unbreakable bond strengthened by their parallel battles with cancer. Through the darkest days of treatment and recovery, Trixie remained by Gerard's side—a constant source of comfort, courage, and unconditional love.

When Trixie crossed the Rainbow Bridge, she left behind more than memories. She left a mission: to ensure no adoptable pet would face euthanasia when loving homes could be found. Her legacy became the foundation of Pets Rescue Radio—a station dedicated to pet welfare, education, and adoption awareness.

Who Rescued Who?

"Who rescued who?"

—A question every pet parent knows the answer to.

The Mission Trixie Inspired

Pets Rescue Radio exists to reduce and eventually eliminate pet euthanasia in America through education, awareness, and community support. We believe that with the right information and resources, every person can become a better pet parent—and every adoptable animal can find their forever home.

Broadcasting 24/7, we mix timeless music with vital pet welfare tips, creating a unique listening experience that entertains while it educates. Trixie's spirit lives on in every broadcast, every adoption we inspire, and every life we help save.
